About opentype.systems: the project, typefaces in use, analytics, and how to get in touch.
About the Project
opentype.systems covers OpenType font features in real design work: where they appear, how they work, and which typefaces carry them. Projects show them in use: in logos, identities, and publications. Typefaces with notable feature sets get their own pages, and so do the designers and foundries behind them.
The site isn't a neutral directory: OpenType features rarely get much attention, and they're worth paying attention to.
opentype.systems is a SEMIREGULAR STUDIO project curated by Dascălu Florin, a graphic designer based in Romania.
Credits
opentype.systems is typeset in Recursive by ArrowType, Cormorant by Christian Thalmann, and Work Sans by Wei Huang. All open source, available on Google Fonts.
Images are used for editorial purposes. Credit and rights belong to their creators, as do the typefaces and other work shown in them. Nothing here is used commercially.
Sources are cited inline where something warranted it. Quoted material from interviews, Q&As, and published statements is credited to the original publication or platform where it appeared.
Privacy & Analytics
The site runs Plausible Analytics, a self-hosted analytics tool that doesn't track you across other websites or build any kind of profile. I wanted to know which pages were being read, not who was reading them. Page views and referrers are the only things it logs. Nothing it collects is shared with anyone.
